Vilas Javdekar: A Video Campaign That Lifted Engagement 250%
A video-led performance marketing campaign showcasing Vilas Javdekar's residential developments.
Case study
The problem
Static ads weren't cutting through for Vilas Javdekar's upcoming projects. They needed a format that could hold attention long enough to communicate more than a headline. In a feed environment, a viewer scrolling past a static ad typically takes in a headline and a photo before moving on, which is enough to show a building but not enough to communicate what living in or near it would actually feel like — scale, light, the walk from the entrance to the unit itself. That experiential gap is exactly what a still image structurally can't close, which is what made this the right project to move to video rather than keep iterating on static creative that was already hitting a ceiling on attention. A residential development in particular sells as much on how a space feels to move through as on its floor plan, and that's specifically the part a static image leaves to the viewer's imagination instead of showing it directly.
What we built
We produced a cinematic video campaign pairing architectural footage with direct messaging, cut specifically for performance placements rather than repurposed brand film. That distinction matters because a brand film optimized for a landing page or long-form viewing paces very differently than a fifteen-to-thirty-second feed placement — the point where a viewer decides to keep watching, and the point where a call to action needs to land, are both earlier and more compressed in a performance placement than in a longer piece meant to be watched deliberately. Producing dedicated cuts in After Effects and Premiere Pro, instead of trimming down an existing brand film, avoided the mismatch between pacing that holds attention on a feed and pacing that holds attention once someone's already committed to watching something longer. Shooting and cutting with the placement decided up front also meant the architectural footage itself could be framed for how it would actually be watched, rather than composed for a big screen and then cropped down after the fact.
The outcome
Social media engagement rose 250% over the campaign. Video format alone tends to earn more interaction than static image ads in a feed environment, and pairing cinematic footage with direct messaging gave viewers something concrete to react to — a specific claim about the development, not just an image to admire and scroll past without engaging further. That combination of format and message is what moved engagement specifically, rather than just impressions, which is the metric that's easiest to inflate with reach alone. Engagement in particular reflects whether people found the content worth reacting to, which is a harder bar to clear than simply being seen while scrolling past, and it's the bar a format switch to video was specifically meant to clear.

FAQ
Questions about this project.
After Effects and Premiere Pro for the video production, cut specifically for performance marketing placements rather than repurposed from a longer brand film that wasn't built for a feed environment in the first place.
Video production and campaign setup together run longer than a static creative turnaround, since footage has to be shot and edited into cuts built specifically for the placements the campaign will actually run on, not adapted after the fact.
Video content structurally earns more interaction than static ads in a feed, and pairing cinematic footage with direct messaging gave viewers something specific to react to rather than just an image to scroll past without a second look.
